EMCY General Assembly will take place this year in Vilnius (Lithuania) on Sunday, 16th October, and is being held in cooperation with our members in Lithuania, the National Lithuanian Balys Dvarionas Piano & String Competition, the International Balys Dvarionas Competition for Young Pianists and the International Jascha Heifetz Competition for Violinists. We are grateful to our hosts in Lithuania.
In the framework of the EU Erasmus+ Project INTER-NATIONAL net_works+ and in cooperation with our Luxembourgish member competition, the Concours Luxembourgeois pour Jeunes Solistes & European Competition for Young Soloists, the Conference INTER-NATIONAL net_works+ will take place Friday 14th and Saturday 15th October.
EMCY is proud and happy to have received the attention and wishes of the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker.
Relevant topics such as EU funding opportunities, communication with the audience, digital competences and cross sectoral cooperation of youth music competitions will be addressed and the workshops will be steered by the renowned international experts Pascal Sticklies of the Luxembourg Philharmonie, Constanze Wimmer and Andreas Berg.
The delegates will get the opportunity to attend two prestigious concerts: the opera Manon by Jules Massenet at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre on Friday and on Saturday the concert of the New Ideas Chamber Orchestra NICO, EMCY Prize Winners Concert, in the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania.
