When we try to picture the future of classical music, ideas like the ‘Discover Music Tour’ come in mind as an important path to follow. This project, in fact, has the aim to bring together young people, giving them the possibility to know each other and to practice an unconventional repertoire. After rehearsals in Luxembourg, several concerts will be performed in Luxembourg and Germany. By playing in different European countries the musicians will also acquire the possibility to internationalise their career, a big plus for young talents.

In March, EMCY in collaboration with UGDA Music School, will put all these aspects together for the 12th ‘Discover Music Tour’. Different concert formats will take place in Luxembourg and Germany. As in 2019, the first concert will take place in the frame of the Luxembourg City Film Festival. The festival, celebrating its 10th edition from the 5th to the 15th of March, is the best opportunity to discover the city through different events. Therefore the ‘Discover Music Tour’ has the aim to underline the life-long relationship between film and classic music and to create a new connection between these difference audiences, creating new interests and visions.

The EMCY prize winners that will play the Discover Music Tour 2020 are:

Daniel Migliosi (Luxembourg), Trumpet
