Daniel Migliosi, born in 2004, started his musical education at the age of nine. He is currently studying at the ‘Conservatoire Esch/Alzette, Luxembourg’ in the classical trumpet class of Prof. Michel Berns, Jazz Trumpet in the Jazz Class of Prof. Marc Harles and chamber music in the class of Claude Origer.
He was awarded with first prizes in the competitions Concours Luxembourgeois pour Jeunes Solistes & European Competition for Young Soloists (national) and `Take two to six´ competition.
In 2019, he received a scholarship from Brassweek Samedan in Switzerland, where he was able to study with renowned teachers like Gábor Tarkövi, Laura Vukobratovic, Frits Damrow, Wolfgang Guggenberger, Klaus Schuhwerk, Benny Brown and many others.
He is especially interested in Jazz music. He played with well-known European jazz musicians and Bands like Ernie Hammes, Andy Haderer, Niels Engel, Michel Meis, Maxime Bender, Benny Brown, Luxembourg Jazz Orchestra, Big Band Opus78, etc…
Actually, Daniel plays in the third solo cornet in the Brass Band of the Conservatory of Esch/Alzette, first trumpet in the Wind Orchestras of Conservatory of Esch/Alzette and Harmonie Ste. Cecile Kayl.
In his career, Daniel played with the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra and the Luxembourg Military Band. In the next years, he is looking forward to play as soloist with Luxembourg Jazz Orchestra, and touring all over Europe with his Jazz quartet called ‘Retrospective’.
