The matinee, ‘Ausgezeichnet’, is a concert taking place in the framework of the German national youth music competition ‘Jugend musiziert’.
‘Jugend musiziert‘ (former ‘Youth makes music’) is the biggest junior contest for musicians from all over Europe. It has been staged both for soloists and for chamber-music ensembles since 1963. Every year, more and more young people decide to participate. The competition ends with a matinee where EMCY prize winners are performing pieces of composers from their own countries.
On June 5th, at the big hall of Staatstheater Oldenburg, Natálie Toperczerová (violin) and Pavol Praženica (piano), winners of the Antonín Dvořák International Radio Competition for Young Musicians Concertino Praga, performed at the matinee organised by the wonderful team of Jugend musiziert.

Because of his success in the Swedish National Competition Polstjärnepriset Vänersborg, Josef Wijk has been invited to play at the “Ausgezeichnet” edition for the year 2019. The matinee concert was held at the Goethe-Theater in Bad Lauchstädt on 9th June 2019, 11:00 o’clock.

Aarón Ribas, first Prize and EMCY Prize winner of the Concurso Permanente de Jóvenes Intérpretes, in 2014, played at the matinee concert Ausgezeichnet! in the framework of the 53th edition of the German national youth music competition Jugend musiziert, along with prize winners of former Jugend musiziert competitions.
Aarón performed the Sinfonía Nº6, by Charles-Marie Widor.
Lucie Krysatis, 2014 winner of the EMCY prize at the Concours Luxembourgeois pour Jeunes Solistes (UGDA) performed at the matinee concert ‘Ausgezeichnet’, with laureates from Germany, Europe and Japan.
