Every summer EMCY organises its own chamber music tour through South-East Bavaria and Austria with highly talented young prize winners of its member competitions – Young Hearts for Music Tour!

The tour begins with a multi-day workshop at the Landesmusischule Kufstein, giving the young musicians the possibility to get to know each other and to practice the repertoire with an instructor. The workshop is followed by several concerts in Austria (Kufstein and Bad Ischl) and in Germany (Eggenfelden, Seefeld and Munich). Young Nicola and Jingzi are so talented and good musicians. It was a great experience, a pleasure and an honour to play with them. Working with inspiring Susanna Riebl was helpful and rewarding. The tour was very exhausting, but I am very thankful I could be a part of it.” Terézia Hledíková (cello, Slovakia), YHMT 2016

“The Young Hearts Music Tour was absolutely a unique experience and will be an unforgettable memory in my whole life. Those concerts and daily life have always come to my dream up till now. It is my great happiness to have performed the beautiful music pieces in these beautiful towns. And I’m so lucky to have made new friends. I was greatly honored to be the piano accompanist for Therézia, the violinist and Nicola, the cellist, and we had good collaborations. Thanks a lot for every staff member’s effort to hold such a successful tour. And thanks a lot for your excellent arrangements.” Jingzi Huang (pianist, China), YHMT 2016
