European Tours

Every summer EMCY organises its own chamber music tour through South-East Bavaria and Austria with highly talented young prize winners of its member competitions – Young Hearts for Music Tour!

The tour begins with a multi-day workshop at the Landesmusischule Kufstein, giving the young musicians the possibility to get to know each other and to practice the repertoire with an instructor. The workshop is followed by several concerts in Austria (Kufstein and Bad Ischl) and in Germany (Eggenfelden, Seefeld and Munich). The music they play is complemented by the stories and information the musicians give on stage during the concert.

This Young Hearts for Music Tour was my first project with EMCY. I can easily say that working with EMCY was fantastic and great experience. The musicians chosen for the project were amazing to work with and for me to prepare together programme for the concerts in a short time was a truly learning experience. I’ve found working with Constantin and Jakub excellent and to share the stage with them was wonderful. The masterclass with Mr. Yavryan was really good and he gave us a lot of helpful advice.  Many thanks to Manuela who prepared the schedule, accommodation, travels and many more which made the tour a lot easier. Whole project for me was a great chance to meet new musicians friends and to make music in the cities of Germany and Austria. I’m really thankful for this opportunity and I hope to work with EMCY in futureWiktor Dziedzic
