By now it seems clear that we are all living through a major turning point in history, but we are happy to share a good practice example.

One of our member competitions from the beautiful Baltic region succeeded to organize the last round of the competition despite the challenging times.

We are happy to announce the winners of the Ohrid Pearls International Competition 2020

  • First prize medal & 3000€, Grand Prix “Ohrid Pearls” & golden plaque – ANDREJ SHAKLEV (North Macedonia, piano)
  • Second prize medal & 2000€, ZOJA MILIĆEV ( Serbia, violin)
  • Third prize medal & 1000 € VIKTOR RAFAJLOVSKI (North Macedonia, piano)

SPECIAL PRIZES

  • EMCY prize: VIKTOR RAFAJLOVSKI – piano
  • SOCOM prize winner for best performance of a piece by a Macedonian composer: ANASTASIJA GICHEVSKA – piano for V. Nikolovski: Toccata
  • “TOMISLAV ZOGRAFSKI” foundation prize winners: LEONARDO DIMOVSKI – violin (T. Zografski: “Song” for solo violin) and ANASTASIJA PETRESKA – piano (T.  Zografski: “Suite for piano solo” op.27)
  • SMUM recital at the annual Golden Lira festival: ANDREJ SHAKLEV – piano and ANDJELA JOSIFOVSKI – violin
  • Prize winners for best performance of a piece by L. van Beethoven (500 € x2): ANDREJ SHAKLEV – piano and ANASTASIJA GICHEVSKA – piano
