EMCY is happy to announce that we have a new member competition: International Interpretation Competition OSTRACIZED MUSIC. The competition is organised every two years and the next competition will take place from 8th  to 11th of October 2020 in Schwerin, Germany.

The international competition is open to musicians between 15 and 30 years old. The competitors can apply for six different instrument categories and the repertoire includes both in the preliminary and in the final rounds works by ostracised composers.

The aim of the competition is to publicise those modern musicians who have been victims of Nazi regime and to play their forbidden and forgotten works. It is crucial and unique in Germany that the focus is not only on research, but also on artistic-pedagogical work.
