In 2020, the competition underwent a transformation, assuming the name “Gran Premio Povoletto” International Competition. This year, the prestigious event focuses on the trumpet, welcoming young instrumentalists worldwide to participate in an exciting competition that culminates in a grand finale held in the picturesque town of Povoletto, Udine.
The Gran Premio Povoletto International Competition offers a unique format that blends online elimination rounds with a thrilling live final. The 2023 edition of the Gran Premio Povoletto International Competition shines the spotlight on the trumpet, one of the most exhilarating and versatile instruments. Regardless of gender or nationality, young trumpet players are invited to showcase their talents and vie for recognition among their peers. The competition is divided into two categories based on age, allowing participants to compete with others within their respective peer groups. The first category is open to those up to 18 years old, born on or after January 1, 2005. The second category welcomes contestants up to 21 years old, born on or after January 1, 2002.
