A national music competition has been organised in what is now Slovenia since 1972 and in 1992 TEMSIG was established as one of the commissions within the Council of the Republic of Slovenia for Musical Education. TEMSIG has always collaborated with Slovenian broadcasters and the Radio Slovenia editorial board has recorded all concerts of the winners of regional competitions since 1992.
TEMSIG – Tekmovanja Mladih Slovenskih Glasbenikov in Baletnih Plesalcev
Regional stage in February followed by national final and prize winners concerts in March.
The participants should be aged up to 25 years old.

The competition is open for the following competition disciplines: PIANO, FLUTE, RECORDER, OBOE, SAXOPHONE, CLARINET, BASSOON, SINGING, DIATONIC HARMONICA, CHAMBER GROUPS WITH BRASS, JAZZ CHAMBER GROUPS .
The competition is open to all young musicians who are educated in Slovenian music schools, the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, Slovenian music schools abroad, Slovenian citizens, who are studying in universities abroad and individual citizens of the Republic of Slovenia.
