Viktor Stocker, born in 2009, first encountered the accordion at the age of six, and it has accompanied him every day since. Viktor is currently studying at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava under Dr. Marcin Jabłoński.
Viktor is the laureate of more than 50 national and international music competitions. He has claimed the title of absolute winner at prestigious international accordion contests in Pula (2025), Poprad (2024), the World Open Online Music Competition (2024) and the Bach on the Accordion competition held in Opole, Poland (2023). His first-place finishes span cities such as Vilnius, Vienna, Przemyśl, Prague, Sydney and London. He has twice been named absolute winner in the Czech National Competition of Art Schools and also won Jugend musiziert, the most prestigious German competition for youth in both 2022 and 2025, receiving the highest score and a special award for the best interpretation of his own composition. In 2025, he was additionally honoured with a special prize from the Sinfonieorchester Wuppertal.
Viktor’s concert career spans multiple countries and prestigious venues. To name just a few, he has performed in the Rudolfinum concert hall in Prague, the Mecklenburg State Theatre in Germany, and the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. His solo appearances include leading festivals such as Dvořákova Praha, Young Prague Festival, Concertino Praga Festival, Hudba Znojmo, and Zlatá Pecka. He has performed as a soloist with the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra, and in 2026, he is set to make his debut with the Sinfonieorchester Wuppertal in two solo performances.
Viktor also collaborates with prominent Czech musicians and is a regular contributor to Czech Radio’s artistic projects, further enriching the country’s cultural landscape through his dynamic presence and musical versatility. In 2023, he was invited to perform solo in Voss, Norway, and in 2025 gave a solo recital in Sanok, Poland. He has frequently participated in charity concerts for leading Czech foundations and performed at televised concerts.
Over the years, Viktor has participated in masterclasses under many distinguished teachers, including Veli Kujala, Geir Draugsvoll, Mika Väyrynen, Stefan Hussong, Daniel Lis, Piotr Chołołowicz and Grzegorz Stopa.
Another essential part of Viktor’s artistic profile is composition: His original works –frequently recognized in international competitions – form an integral part of his concert repertoire. He is a four-time laureate of the prestigious German competition Jugend komponiert and has received composition awards in Luxembourg, France, and the United States. Through his music, Viktor continues to explore new creative dimensions, blending virtuosity with emotional depth.
Viktor believes the accordion deserves its place on the world’s leading concert stages. His passion lies in surprising audiences and unveiling the instrument’s rich and versatile sound. He brings the accordion into the realm of classical music, sharing joy, breaking boundaries, and opening new artistic pathways for its future.
