Tomasz Grzebień started playing the clarinet at the age of nine. He was born in Strzyżów in the Podkarpacie region of Poland. His first studies were taken in the State Primary Music School of Zygmunt Mycielski in Strzyżów in the clarinet class of Mr. Dariusz Szlachta. After graduating from the 1st degree school, he continued his education at the State Secondary Music School Karol Szymanowski in Rzeszów under the supervision of MA Robert Mosior. Currently he is studying at the State Secondary Music School of Karol Szymanowski in Katowice, and his teacher is prof. dr hab. Roman Widaszek.

He attended several masterclasses with António Saiote, Phillipe Cuper, Vitor Fernandes, Jean Marc Fessard, Corrado Giuffredi, Jan Jakub Bokun, Arkadiusz Adamski, Grzegorz Wieczorek, Ecesu Sertesen, Antonio Tinelli, Dorota Żołnacz, Romuald Gołębiowski, Janusz Antonik and Tomasz Żymła.

He was awarded with many prizes at national and international competitions, such as first prize at International Woodwind & Brass Competition in Varaždin (2021), third prize at 21st International Music Interpretation Competition “Pro Bohemia Ostrava ” (2023), third prize XVI International Competition of Wind Instruments in Wrocław (2023), first prize March Clarinet Competition in Szczecin (2023), third prize 1st Silesian Clarinet Festival in Katowice (2022), first prize in clarinet B category “OHRID PEARLS” – International competition of young musicians. In this very competition he was awarded with two more prizes, second prize of the whole International competition and EMCY Prize.
