Tobiáš Krpec was born in 2006 in Prague. He started learning the guitar at the age of 9 and quickly started achieving prizes at national competitions first and then international ones as well, including the Anna Amalia competition for young guitarists in Weimar, Forum Gitarre Wien and the International Biennial in Kutná Hora.
He’s also participated in masterclasses led by Judicaël Perroy, Marcin Dylla, Hubert Käppel, Aniello Desiderio, Thomas Müller-Pering and many others.
Since September 2022 he’s been studying under associate professor Petr Saidl at the Pardubice high school of music in the Czech Republic, where he’s had a successful first year having won the prize of the absolute winner at the 2023 Katowice international guitar competition and the EMCY prize and first place in the II. age group at the 2023 Anna Amalia guitar competition in Weimar.
