Maria Pogolski was born in 2007 in Munich into a family of musicians. She has always been interested in music and began playing the piano at the age of 6. When she was 10 years old, she discovered her passion for the harp. Currently, she is being taught by Elena Faynberg, former solo harpist of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic.

Maria has won numerous prizes at national and international harp competitions, including 1st prizes at the “Jugend musiziert” competition in Germany (2019, 2022, 2023), the 1st prize and EMCY Prize at the “Glowing Harp Competition” (2024), the 1st prize at the International Harp Competition in Belgrade (2020), as well as 2nd prizes at the VDH Competition (2024) and the “Glowing Harp Competition” (2021).

She made her debut as a soloist in autumn 2023, performing the Harp Concerto in B-flat major by G. F. Handel with the Bad Reichenhall Philharmonic Orchestra.
