Jerzy Swianiewicz was born on 19th July 1998 in Warsaw, Poland. From an early age, he has shown a great interest in music. At the age of 7, he began his music education in piano class at the Primary School of Music in Warsaw. Jerzy started his first trumpet lessons at the age of 13 at the Secondary School of Music in Warsaw at prof. Wiesław Woźnicki class.
Currently he is studying classical trumpet under the supervision of prof. Igor Cecocho at the Grazyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz University of Music in Lódź.
Over the past 4 years he attended masterclasses with Gabor Boldoczki, Adam Rapa, Simon Hofele, Andrew Stone-Fewings, Alistair Mackie, Sergiu Carstea, Jose Chafer.
During his studies Jerzy has won prizes in several competitions, including the 1st prize C – category at the International Competition of Young Musicians “Ohrid Pearls” (2021), 1st prize with “Brass Quintet Łódź” at the II International Virtual Competition “Odessa Music Olymp” (2021), 1st prize at the IV International Competition for Wind Instruments FINALIS (2019).
Over recent years Jerzy gained experience by cooperating with the Arthur Rubinstein Philharmonic in Łódź, Neue Sinfonieorchester Berlin, PRIMUZ Chamber Orchestra. Since 2021 he has been working in The Lower Silesia Philharmonic Orchestra in Jelenia Góra as a principal trumpet.
