Avigea Delivicheva was born in 2004 in Vienna. She had her first music lessons at age three. In 2019 she enrolled in the Special Classes in the Johann Sebastian Bach Musikschule with professor Sonja Korak, who is a flutist in the Camerata Salzburg and the Vienna Chamber Orchestra. In 2023 she started her Bachelor degree at the University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna with professor Sonja Korak. Furthermore, she is a student at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Graz with professor Matthieu Gauci-Ancelin, who is a renowned solo flutist and former principal flute in the Komische Oper Berlin.
Avigea has participated in numerous national and international competitions such as the Youth Competition prima la musica where she has been awarded first prize as a soloist six times in a row – her last two performances scored 100 out of 100 points. Three times she has been given first prize as a member of two ensembles. Avigea is also two times winner of the International Flute Competition in Varna, Bulgaria. In 2023 she has been awarded the first prize at the Leonard Bernstein Institute Competition in Vienna.
Avigea has gained significant stage experience and has performed concerts in Austria, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria and Kosovo. As the principal flute (2019-2023) in the Musikgymnasium in Vienna, she has worked with grammy awarded conductor Manfred Honeck and performed in the Golden Hall in the Musikverein Vienna.
Currently, she is member of the windwood quintet Take5.
