Are you between 15 and 30 years old? Do you play a wind instrument, percussion, double bass, harp or piano? Do you live in a EU state or European country? Then you can become a member of the European Union Youth Wind Orchestra!

The rehearsal session and concert tour of the European Union Youth Wind Orchestra (EUYWO) will take place from July 8 to 25 2017 in Luxembourg and The Netherlands under the direction of Jan Cober and in collaboration with the World Music Championship Kerkrade (WMC). It is generously supported by the Luxembourgish Ministry of Culture, the City of Luxembourg, the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg and the Erasmus+/Youth in Action program of the European Union.

After a rehearsal session and concert in Luxembourg, the orchestra will be from July 13 in Kerkrade in the function of ‘orchestra in residence’ and accompany, among others, an international conductor course and a conducting competition for those who direct orchestras as well as participate in the project ‘Future generations’ where youth wind orchestras from different continents will perform concerts in Kerkrade, Utrecht and The Netherlands.

70 young and highly-qualified musicians (music students, laureates of youth music competitions, professional musicians, etc.) from all over Europe are sought for the 2017 tour.
