The EMCY member competition Concurso Juventudes Musicales is glad to inform the public that the 30 musicians for the section `wind` of the competition have been selected.
At the preselection, the jury composed by the composer Jesús Rueda (president), the clarinetist Luis Miguel Méndez-Chávez, the oboist Paul Goodwin, the saxophonist Ángel Soria and the vice secretary of JM Spain Antonio Martín chose thirty out of fifty-three talented musicians coming from 27 different Spanish provinces.
The soloists have been admitted to the finals that will be celebrated on the 16th and 17th March at the ‘Real Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Madrid’. At the end of the first day, just 6 participants will compete on Sunday 17th March, being recorded and transmitted on ‘Radio Clasica de Radio Nacional De España’.
This is the list with the names of the musicians who passed the first phase:
The organisers and the foundation would like to thank everybody who participated or showed interest to the preselection call and would like to remind that ‘Concurso Juventudes Musicale’ offers many other possibilities: the calls for other categories are still open and can be found at this website: Covocatorias.
The 93rd edition of ‘Concurso Juventudes Musicale de España’ would like to invite you to follow the next phases of the competition, through their website and Facebook page.
After forty years of activity, this competition is proud to be able to support many talented musicians in the classical musical sector but also in the new ones.
