The TEMSIG-Slovenian Music Competition for Youth has given out the names of the prize winners for this edition. This year the competition of young Slovenian musicians has concerned the disciplines of piano, piano flute, flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, bassoon, diatonic accordion, singing, chamber brass groups, jazz chamber groups.
660 young musicians aged from 7 to 25 were invited as the best musicians of Slovenia. The competitors were, then, divided into seven age categories. After the selections started in February, the final concert of the first prize winners and the awarding of special prizes were held at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet Ljubljana on March 22nd, at 6pm.
This competition has been, since its creation, an amazing national project that involves more than 700 musicians in the country and helps them achieve professional and personal development in classical music
It is important to underline that this event is supported by the “voluntary and engaged” contribution of the organizers which work to encourage youth education and cultural development.
