Katrina Szederkenyi is the principal harpist of the orchestra of the Musikalische Komödie in Leipzig. She is a prizewinner of numerous international competitions in Belgium, Hungary, Austria, and Wales.
She studied in Vienna and Frankfurt am Main, completing her studies with the Konzertexamen degree. Since her debut recital at the Vienna Konzerthaus, she has been in demand as a soloist and chamber musician.
Her orchestral career has led her to perform with several major German orchestras, including the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, the Beethoven Orchester Bonn, the Duisburg Philharmonic, the Bochumer Symphoniker, and the MDR Radio Symphony Orchestra Leipzig.
Chamber music plays a central role in her artistic work. She regularly performs with her father, a violinist, and is the founder of Trio Dreilinden (harp, cello, and clarinet).
