From March 23rd to 26th 2017 more than 1,000 music lover young musicians sharing the same goal and expectations all over Switzerland will show their instrumental skills to a professional jury. Entrada Competition of 42. Swiss Youth Music Competitions (SJMW) can be found in Arbon, Geneva, Hünenberg, Lugano, Reinach BL, Sissach And Winterthur instead.

Solo Contest: Cornet, Eb Horn / Althorn, Tenorhorn / Euphonium, Trumpet, Waldhorn, Trombone, Tuba, Piano, Organ, Harpsichord, Guitar, Mandolin, Classical vocal, Old music before 1750
Contemporary music: Chamber music competition: duo chamber music (free repertoire), duo chamber music «Contemporary Music», Duo «Early Music before 1750», Ensemble Chamber Music (free repertoire), Chamber Music Ensemble «Contemporary Music», Chamber Music Ensemble «Old Music before 1750»,* Recorders, * percussion ensembles. * An ensemble consists of 3 to 11 members. Conductors are not allowed.

All winners will get the right to compete for the finals that will be held in La Chaux-de-Fonds from May 18 to May 21.
The final concert will be held in La Chauxde-Fonds on 21 May 2017.
