Diana Chausheva

Diana Velieva Chausheva was born in 2007, in Sofia, Bulgaria. At the age of 6 she was accepted to study at NMU “Lubomir Pipkov” – Sofia in the class of Mrs. Blagorodna Taneva.

Some of her awards over the years are:

– 2015: First prize from the Seventh International String Instrument Competition in Nis, Serbia

– 2017: First prize from the International Violin Competition “Prof. Nedyalka Simeonova” – Haskovo

– 2018: First Prize from the National Competition for Performance of Bulgarian Music “Varban Varbanov” Burgas

– 2019: First prize from VIENNA INTERNATIONAL ARTS FESTIVAL 

– 2020: Absolute first prize from the International Competition “The Sound of Time” – Veliko Tarnovo; First prize and nomination for the Grand Prix from the Second International Competition “Tryavna Art Festival” – Tryavna; First prize from the Music Competition Opus Artis Paris, France; Special absolute prize with maximum number of points from VIII International competition “Ohrid te sakam” – Macedonia; First prize and special prize from SBMTD from the IV International Competition for Chamber Ensembles and Individual Performers “Prof. Asen Diamandiev ”- Borovets resort

– 2021: Fourth prize from the extremely prestigious Piccolo Violino Magico International Violin Competition, Italy; Second prize at the International music competition “The colors of music”, Latvia; Second prize from the International Music Competition OPUS 2021, Krakow, Poland; Third prize from International Competition for Young Violinists “Leonid Kogan”, Brussels, Belgium; First prize from International Violin Competition “Young Paganini”, Legnica, Poland

– 2022. First prize and Grand Prix from Cantus Firmus, Bulgaria, Third prize from Ilona Feher International Violin Competition, Budapest, Hungary; First and EMCY prize, Czech Radio prize and Audience Award from Antonín Dvořák International Radio Competition for Young Musicians Concertino Praga, Czech Republic

She participated in various master classes with: Stefan Tarara,  Prof. Mario Hosen and Prof. Miguel Negri – Switzerland, Boris Garlitsky – Germany, France, Leonid Kerbel – Belgium, Dora Schwarzberg and Prof. Frischenschlager- Austria, Julide Yalcin Dittgen – Turkey, Prof. Krszistof Wegrzyn – Poland, Prof. Julius Horvath – Slovakia, Prof. Reka Szilvay – Finland, Mila Georgieva, Moni Simeonov, Dimitar Burov, Svetlin Rusev and others.

Diana was a soloist of Orchestra D`Archi Arrigoni with conductor Giancarlo Guarino (Italy), Chamber Orchestra Anima Musicae with conductor G. Horvath Laszlo (Hungary), the Sofia Soloists Chamber Orchestra with conductor prof. Plamen Djurov, Shumen Philharmonic Orchestra with conductor Stanislav Ushev, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra with conductor Raycho Hristov, NBU Chamber Orchestra with conductor Francois Pierre Deacon, orchestra Blagoevgrad with conductor Krassimir Topalov, Vratsa Symphony with conductor Konstantin Ilievski.
