Viktor Rafajlovski was born in 2003 in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia. He started playing the piano at the age of six in the Primary Music School DMBUC “Ilija Nikolovski –Luj” in Skopje with his mentor Prof. Katerina Kjetkovikj-Fidanovska. From 2018 he is a high school student in the same school with the same professor.
Viktor Rafajlovski has won first prizes on several State Competitions of North Macedonia, in 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017 and Special Prize in 2019. He also won first prizes on many international piano competitions in Republic of Serbia – Arangelovac (2011), Vranje (2011), Sabac (2016), “Davorin Jenko” – Belgrade (first prize in 2014, and second prize in 2020). In 2015 he participated on the competition “Citta di San Dona Di Piave” – Italy and won first prize.
Viktor was also a competitor on many international competitions in Republic of North Macedonia, and won first prizes like: International Competitions of Young Pianists – Gevgelija (2011, 2019), Competition of the United Music and Dance Teachers of Macedonia – Skopje (2015), International competition “Polihimnia” – Skopje (2017, 2018), Competition “Ohrid, I love you” (2018). On the International Competition for Young Musicians “Ohrid Pearls” in 2012 he won first special prize, while in 2018 second prize.
On the International Competition for Young Musicians “Ohrid Pearls” 2020 he won first special prize in his category, Diploma of the Foundation “Tomislav Zografski”, as well as third prize – bronze medal and EMCY Prize on the final concert.
He participated on seminars with Prof. Natalija Tomikj (Serbia), Prof. Elena Dikova (Bulgaria), Prof. Maja Djogo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Prof. Heidi Elsässer (Germany). In 2017, he participated on the Master Class of Prof. Denis Zardi (Italy) in Prizren – Kosovo. During 2018/19 he had opportunity to work periodically with prof. Todor Svetiev from the Faculty of Music Art in Skopje. In July 2019, he was one of the participants of “Scriabin Summer Academy” in Grosseto, Italy, with Prof. Kalina Mrmevska (Macedonia/USA) and Prof. Antonio Di Cristofano (Italy). In August 2019, Viktor took part on Piano Master Class in Groznjan, Croatia, working with Maestro Simon Trpcevski (Macedonia), and Prof. Katarina Krpan (Croatia).
