Vladimir Aćimović was born in 2002 in Niš. He finished Elementary Music School in the class of prof. Milena Kurteva (Bulgaria). He continued his secondary music education at the Music School in Niš, in the class of prof. Suzana Novakovic. Additionally, he was taking lessons from prof. Ilia Chernaev (Bulgaria) in Sofia. He graduated from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the class of prof. Lidija Stanković, where he is pursuing his DMA. In addition, he is pursuing his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz (Austria) in the class of prof. Milana Chernyavska. He is a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy of Liechtenstein and Aspen Festival.
He took masterclasses from professors such as Yoheved Kaplinsky, Arbo Valdma, Kemal Gekić, Dmitri Bashkirov, Pavel Gililov, Milana Chernyavska, Arie Vardi, Bruno Canini, Ruben Dalibaltayan, Grigori Gruzman, Claudio Martínez Mehner, Misha Dacic, Dora Schwarzberg.
He is the prize winner of numerous national and international competitions in his childhood, such as “Ohrid Pearls” (North Macedonia), “Virtuosi per la musica di pianoforte” in Usti nad Labem (Czech Republic), “Isidor Bajić” in Novi Sad…
Since the beginning of his studies he won the following awards:
In 2019, 1 st prize at the International Competition “Merci, maestro!” in Brussels, and 1 st prize at the international competition, “International Ricard Vines Youth” in Lleida, Spain.
In 2021 3 rd prize and a special prize for the most promising pianist at International competition “Radovljica” and the 2 nd and special prize for the artistic personality of the competition at “Arthur Rubinstein in Memoriam” competition in Bydgoszcz (Poland).
In 2022, he was a finalist of the “New York International Piano Competition” and won 1 st Prize at the “Martha Debelli” Competition in Graz (Austria). He also took part in the Glocal Piano Project in Vienna as a result of which he passed to the final rounds of the 64 th Ferruccio Busoni Competition. In February he won 2 nd Prize, Junior Jury and EMCY Prize at the “Robert Schumann International Piano Competition” in Düsseldorf.
He performed with success in Serbia, Russia, the Czech Republic, Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, Macedonia, the Netherlands, Poland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria, the USA, Spain, Germany, France, Slovenia.
He gave recitals at international festivals “Constantinus” and “Nimus” in Niš, Ljubljana Festival, “VP Bank Switzerland” festival, in the Kolarac Music Gallery and the Great Hall of the Kolarac Foundation and all other important venues in Serbia…
He gave his first concerts with the orchestra at the age of 10 in the Great Hall of Kolarac Foundation with the “Amoroso” chamber orchestra. As a soloist with the orchestra, he performed in Serbia, Russia, Germany, Austria, and Poland, with the Niš Symphony Orchestra, “Dušan Skovran” string orchestra, “ArtLink” chamber orchestra, “Symphony Juventus”, “Köln Chamber Orchestra” with Christoph Poppen, the Ensemble “Esperanza” at the “Alpenarte 2022” festival in Austria, as a part of the concert tour in Germany and Austria with violinist Leonhard Baumgartner, etc.
He is the receiver of numerous awards and recognitions in Serbia and Austria, including the “ArtLink” Prize for the most promising young artist in Serbia in 2019, the Award of “The Academy of Arts and Sciences” for Most gifted students in Serbia, “Emil Hajek” Award for the most promising student of Piano Department of Faculty of Music in Belgrade, Special Prize of the city of Graz for the best art students etc.
