Stefan Burchardt was born in Denmark in 2003 and started to play violin at the age of four. At the age of seven, he made his debut as a soloist with the Odense Symphony Orchestra. Stefan is currently studying at Universität der Künste (Berlin) with Prof. Latica Honda-Rosenberg. At nine years old he won the 2nd Prize at Bravo! International Violin Competition 2012 (B). In 2014 he won 1st Prize at Flame Concours Paris and came finalist at Eugène Ysaÿe International Music Competition 2019 (B).

Stefan won the first prize at Jugend Musiziert, Bundeswettbewerb 2019, the Hermann Abs-Prize for the best interpretation of a work by Beethoven and was invited to give the final concert at the Beethoven-Haus in Bonn. In 2019 he won the first prize at Øresunds Solist Competition as well as the talent prize in the younger category. In 2021 he won the 1st prize in the older category of the Øresunds Solist competition.

Stefan has won numerous prizes at domestic competitions and won the Grand Talent Prize at Berlingske Music Competition 2016. In 2017 he was invited to participate in Danish Radio’s live broadcast TV competition at which he won the title of “Wonder Child of the Year” and was invited for a concert tour in Denmark 2017 performing over 30 concerts.

Stefan received important inspiration through masterclasses at Kronberg Academy and with prominent teachers such as Olivier Charlier (Paris Conservatoire), Maciej Rakowski (Royal College, London), Alf Richard Kraggerud (Barratt Due Musikkinstitutt, Oslo), Malin Broman (Stockholm, Sweden) amongst others.
