Simon Haje was born in 2005 and has been taking piano lessons since he was six. He became a student at the Berlin University of the Arts at the age of nine.

Simon participated at various music competitions like “Jugend Musiziert”, where he achieved top ratings and special prizes in the categories piano solo, ensemble, accompaniment, organ and voice. In his last competitions as a piano soloist, he received the first prizes at the International Piano Podium Munich 2018, International Schumann Competition Düsseldorf 2019 and Steinway Piano Competition 2019 as well Young Ludwig Youth Music Competition 2020.

Simon Haje made his orchestral debut at the age of 12 as a soloist in Bach’s harpsichord concerto in D minor at the Rheinsberg Palace Theater. In May 2019, he performed as a soloist with the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra in the Tonhalle with Weber ‘s concert piece. In September 2019, he played the piano solo part of Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy.

Performances with orchestra in the Konzerthaus and the Philharmonie Berlin are planned for 2021. In September, 2021 Simon Haje will take part in the International Steinway Festival as a representative of Germany and perform in the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg.
