Phillip Angelov was born on November 15, 2011, in Sofia. He has been playing music since he was six years old and has been a student in Prof. Milka Miteva’s piano class ever since.

Starting from 2021, he began to participate in international and national competitions, and in this short time, Phillip has achieved impressive accomplishments: two Grand Prix awards and over ten first-place finishes in some of the most significant European and international competitions. In 2022, Philip held his first solo concert and had the honor of performing in concerts conducted by some of the most famous Bulgarian conductors.

He has also taken part in numerous master classes, including those with Prof. Pascal Nemirovski, Prof. Borislava Taneva, Sergey Redkin, Prof. Natasha Mitrovich, Prof. Xin Wang, Prof. Lilia Boyadzhieva, and others. For two consecutive years, he was the recipient of the large scholarship from the foundation ‘St. St. Cyril and Methodius’ in the name of Lidiya Kuteva, which was founded by Prof. Pavlina Dokovska.
