Winner of the 2019 Trinity Laban Soloists’ Competition, Noelia Cotuna has been awarded various prizes at international competitions.  These include the 88th Concurso Juventudes Musicales – JM Spain and the EMCY Prize, North London Camac Harp Competition and ‘Suoni d’Arpa’ International Harp Contest. 

Since August 2019, Noelia has been a member of the Karajan Academy of the Berliner Philharmoniker, where she currently works under the guidance of harpist Marie-Pierre Langlamet. An experienced orchestral player, she has performed and toured extensively under the baton of renowned conductors such as Kirill Petrenko, Sir Simon Rattle, Daniel Harding, Zubin Mehta and Christian Thielemann, amongst others.

Noelia has been featured at the Proms at St Jude’s Festival in London, Harp on Wight Festival, Rassegna dell’Arpa Viggianese, and frequently enjoys playing solo recitals for a large and varied range of audiences. Equally at home as a chamber musician, she performs with various ensembles around Europe and has appeared at the Philharmonie in Berlin, Cadogan Hall in London, and the National Auditorium of Music in Madrid. She made her concerto debut in 2016 alongside the Orchestra of Valencia, and notable solo performances include Mozart’s Flute and Harp Concerto as part of Madrid Symphony Orchestra’s ‘Proyecto Talentos’ and H. Renié’s Harp Concerto in C minor with Trinity Laban’s Symphony Orchestra in London.

Born in Spain, Noelia started learning the harp at the age of six and two years later began her studies with Ana Martínez at the Professional Conservatoire of Music of Valencia. She completed her studies there in 2016, obtaining Music Prizes in Harp and Chamber Music, and the Scholarship Prize of the RSEAPV.

She recently graduated with a first class Bachelor in Music with Honours from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, where she studied with Prof. Gabriella Dall’Olio and Frances Kelly. She was also awarded the 2019 John Marson Harp Prize for Outstanding Musicianship and was generously supported as a Gladys Bratton, Rosamund Mott, AIE Spain and Trinity College London Scholar. Since October 2020, Noelia is continuing her Masters at the Universität der Küsnte in Berlin, studying with harpist Marion Ravot.
