Michael was born in Berlin in 2003. He received his first violin lessons from Tamara Prischepenko in 2008, when he was 5 years old. He is a young student at the Julius Stern Institute of the UdK Berlin with Prof. Bernhard Hartog since 2015. He is also studying with Prof. Dora Schwarzberg in Vienna and takes part in master classes with her.
Michael regularly takes part in international festivals and courses, such as Chieti Classica 2019, Epoche_f masterclass, many chamber music courses, where he has worked with renowned musicians such as Michael Erxleben (1st concertmaster at the Konzerthausorchester Berlin), Frithjof-Martin Grabner, Ensemble Modern, and was able to gain a lot of musical impressions and experiences from baroque to modern classic.
Michael is a 1st prize winner at the Rudolf Matz International String Competition 2018, ProArt International Violin Competition 2018 and Jugend musiziert competition 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 and 2020, where he got connected with EMCY for the first time through a scholarship for the international masterclass Epoche_f. He was previously a major prize winner of the International Grumiaux Concours 2017.
Michael played as a soloist with several orchestras, including Khmelnitsky Philharmonic Orchestra (Ukraine), the Havel Symphoniker (Germany) and several youth chamber orchestras (Germany, Poland). Michael currently performs on the 1950 “ex-Ferras” violin by R. & M. Millant, on generous loan from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben.
