Luka Gubenšek is a promising second-year student at the Art Gymnasium program of the First Grammar School in Celje. He began his musical education at the Skladatelji Ipavci Music School in Šentjur under the mentorship of Matjaž Vodišek. Among his most notable achievements during his early musical training are a Gold Plaque Laureate and a special award for achieving a perfect score (100 points) at an international competition in Belgrade (2020), as well as a First Prize and Gold Plaque at the national TEMSIG competition in 2022.
Following his primary music education, Luka continued his studies under the guidance of his role model, Jurij Hladnik. In the current year, he participated in the Woodwind and Brass International Competition in Varaždin, where he received both a Gold Plaque and First Prize. He also achieved outstanding success at the national TEMSIG competition, where he was again awarded a Gold Plaque, First Prize, and a special recognition for scoring 100 points.
Luka actively attends masterclasses and educational workshops led by both national and internationally acclaimed mentors, such as Mate Bekavac, Andrej Zupan, Massimiliano Miani, Paolo Beltramini, and Francisco Canto. In addition to Jurij Hladnik, his artistic role models include Martin Fröst, Mate Bekavac, and Wenzel Fuchs.
After completing secondary school, Luka is considering continuing his studies abroad. He draws inspiration from a wide variety of orchestras and aspires to become a member of such ensembles, performing and creating music as a soloist.
