Arthur Grigoryan was born in Ararat, Armenia. He began his musical education at the Gh. Saryan Music School in 2009, later continuing at the P. Tchaikovsky Music School in 2013. He studied under Professor Armen Babakhanian at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory and is now continuing his studies at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania, with Professor Alexander Paley.
Arthur is a laureate of numerous national and international piano competitions, he has received top prizes at the Arno Babajanyan International Piano Competition (2011, 2015), the “Renaissance” Festival (2012, 2013), and the “Future Stars” Festival in Turkey (2014). From 2013 to 2024, he was part of the ‘’Meknark’’ target program for the development of young talented musicians in Armenia.
He has performed as a soloist with the Armenian National Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestras, as well as the State Jazz Orchestra of Armenia. His concert
engagements have taken him across Europe and Asia, including France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Russia, Malaysia and the UAE. He has also taken masterclasses with internationally renowned artists, including Natalia Trull, Dmitry Bashkirov, Dmitry Alexeev, Svetlana Navasardyan, and others.
Arthur’s notable achievements include 1st prizes at the “Riga” International Competition (2019), “Sviatoslav Richter” and I. Paderewski Online International Piano Competitions (2020). Also WPTA Finland (2020), Tkaczewski Competition (2021), and the Harmonium OnlinePlus International Piano Competition (2021), where he also received the Grand Prix. He has been awarded full scholarships from both East Tennessee State University and UCSI University in Malaysia.
In 2023, he won 1st prize at the 4th “Fujairah” International Piano Competition in the UAE. Since 2024, he has been actively performing across Lithuania and internationally. In 2025, he was invited to participate in the 18th International Tour of Young Talents of Armenia, performing at Sala dei Giganti (Padua) and other concert venues in Italy. In 2026, he achieved significant success, winning Second Prize at the reputable X International Stasys Vainiūnas Piano Competition in Vilnius and Kaunas, Lithuania.
