An Wang was born in Hong Kong, China in 2011, he moved to Serbia in 2017. A chance encounter with an old piano during a holiday trip before starting primary school sparked a
seemingly predestined connection. Early encouragement from his teacher, Helena Gavroska, ignited his passion for dancing with his fingers on the keybord.
At eight and a half, he was fortunate enough to become a student of professor Dragomir Bratić in Music School Davorin Jenko, Serbia. Five and a half years passed quickly, during which he participated in over 30 competitions, winning first prizes and title of laureate. For example, he won two times first prize in the Virtuosi per musica di Pianoforte competition in Ústí Nad Labem, Czech Republic and also he was the absolute winner of Peter Toperczer International piano competition in Košice, Slovakia in 2025. He has also collaborated with orchestras on Mozart and Shostakovich piano concertos and has performed a lot of chamber music.
He had attended masterclasses by Natalia Trull, Charles Richard-Hamelin, Eric Lu, and Jevgeniy Starodupcev.
