Alexandra Weissbecker was born in 2001 in Marburg, Germany. The young violinist began her musical education at the age of four in Kazan, Russia at Kazan Special Music school where she was studying with Prof. Julia Vivat. In June 2019, Alexandra graduated from the school and moved to Austria to continue her education at Mozarteum University Salzburg with Prof. Pierre Amoyal. Since 2022 she is a student of Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, where she is studying in the class of Prof. Stephan Picard. She also received important inspirations through masterclasses with Boris Kushnir, Alexander Vinnitsky, Kirill Troussov, Maxim Vengerov, Alexander Trostyansky, Mikhail Gantwarg, Alexander Shustin, Gerhard Schulz and other great musicians.

Alexandra Weissbecker is a winner of the 10th international Louis Spohr Competition for young violinists 2022, where she also received a special prize for the best interpretation of a violin concerto in the final round. She is a laureate of numerous competitions such as Russia’s most prestigious All-Russian music competition 2022 (2nd Prize), Yankelevich Violin Competition 2022 (2nd Prize), Anton Rubinstein Violin Competition 2020 (1st Prize), Kloster Schöntal Competition 2019 (4th Prize), Leopold Auer Violin Competition 2017 (3rd Prize) and many others.

The violinist has enjoyed performances with the Jena Philharmonic, the State Symphony Orchestra and the State Orchestra of Folk Instruments of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Nikolayev Youth Symphony Orchestra of Russia, the “New Russia” symphony orchestra, the Ryazan Philharmonic Orchestra, the Capella Istropolitana chamber orchestra, La Primavera chamber Orchestra and other ensembles
