International Piano Competition of Peter Toperczer took place between 10 – 13 April 2025 . For the 18th time it welcomed young talents from Slovakia and abroad. This year´s edition was once again special not only thanks to superb contestants´ performances but also strong international participation – with 32 pianists from 9 countries
(Bulgaria, Czechia, Croatia, Poland, Austria, United Kingdom, Serbia, Ukraine and Slovakia).
The competition was held under the auspices of Vice-Mayor of Košice city Mrs Lucia Gurbáľová, announced by the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic and with Slovak Television and Radio as its main media partner.
Friday and Saturday were dedicated to competition performances which showed not only technical skills but also a unique artistic feeling of young pianists. The Sunday´s Concert of Winners proved to be a dignified finale of the entire event – full of emotions and unforgettable moments.
