About myself.
Dear EMCY members. Now I have the opportunity to introduce myself to you.
My name is Sina Samieian. I was born in Tehran/Iran and raised in Bregenz/Austria. My parents both studied at Musikhochschule Wien, so I have been exposed to classical music since I was a baby.
I am also passionate about technology and science. I was able to explore these subjects extensively during my youth and student days. First as a sound engineer, then as a musicologist. In my early childhood, I had my first instrumental experience with the violoncello, until I got to know and love the bassoon. Instrumental lessons at the beginning and then as a minor subject in musicology studies. At the same time, I can look back on a 25-year career as an electric bass player for various studio productions and live in various rock/jazz and alternative bands. So, I can say that since my earliest childhood, music has been and still is a defining theme.
After graduating, I started my own business as a musicologist and was at home in the field of audio branding and multi-sensory marketing. I then worked in the automotive industry in the field of acoustic shielding for a few years. Until I then took care of art & culture at the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz as the director of culture and arts.
I am looking forward to be working in the field of practical music again. Looking after a network of competitions at European level is an incredibly varied task.
Together we are promoting the talents of tomorrow. Who we will soon be cheering on the world’s biggest stages.
Thank you for your trust and feel free to contact me if you have any ideas or questions.
Kind regards
Sina Samieian
