For the first time at National Lithuanian Balys Dvarionas Piano & String Competition there will be two categories where international musicians can confront themselves (not just the traditional national contest): HARP & VIOLA
The HARP and VIOLA Competition will be held in Kaunas from April 6 until April 8, 2018. The Competition is open to Harpists and Violists of all nationalities who were born on or after June 19, 1998.
All other categories, violin, cello, double bass, piano and guitar are open for pupils of the national Lithuanians schools. Different stylistic époques and a piece by Balys Dvarionas must be included in the programme. The time limits vary for the different age groups.
On request, professional accompanists will be provided for an additional fee. Cost of a rehearsal is 30 euro.
