Following the highly successful special edition of the International Competition “Young Virtuosos” in 2020, which honored the 100th anniversary of composer Pancho Vladigerov’s birth, the Organizing Committee of the International Competition “Young Virtuosos” joined forces with the Sofia Philharmonic to present the International Competition for Pianists. The competition took place from June 1st to June 8th, 2023, and was named in commemoration of Lidiya Kouteva’s 100th birth anniversary.
