Since 1971, the Association of Slovene Music Schools and the TEMSIG Commission have been organizing a national competition for young musicians and a slightly younger ballet competition. Many internationally renowned ambassadors of Slovenian music culture received their first confirmations and opportunities for affirmation in the international arena at the TEMSIG competition.
The 50th edition of the TEMSIG competition was open for the following disciplines: violin, viola, cello, double bass, harp, guitar, organ, chamber groups with blowers, solfeggio.
The competition took place at music schools Štajerska and Pomurje, in Ljubljana and Vrhnika. The 1st category competition was realized without a pre-competition. The 2nd and 3rd category competitions took place as usual in two stages.
