Svitlana Zakharova got her education at Kharkiv I.P. Kotlarevsky Institute of Arts, class of Regina Horowitz.
Since 1998 has been the Head of the piano department at Kharkiv Special Secondary Music School.
She is teething methods specialist, more than 100 school-leavers are her students, among them 60 students are laureates of National and International Competitions, 7 of her students became laureates of International V.Krainev piano competitions.
Zakharova Svitlana has favourable mentions by Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, Ministry of Culture of Autonomous Republic of Crimea, she has also got honorary diplomas of International contests in Ukraine, Russia, Italy, and Czech Republic and was frequently asked to serve as jury member at numerous International piano competitions.
