Kharkiv International Music Competition is held annually at Kharkiv I.P. Kotlyarevsky National University of Arts (Kharkiv, Ukraine). It is the part of International Music Festival “Kharkiv Assemblies” which is one of the oldest classic music festivals in Ukraine.
The Competition gives an opportunity for further development to musicians from 14 to 40 years.
The main purpose of the competition is to promote and popularize widely musical art, to improve professional skills of the competitors and to expand international artistic ties.

The participants should be aged from 14 to 40 years old.
The Competition is held online, in two categories: “Piano” and “Double Bass”.

An application must be accompanied with a link to the recording of the competitor’s performance of the programme. The face and hands of a contestant must be seen clearly
The file must be uploaded to cloud storage service (Google Drive, OneDrive, iCloud etc.) and must be available for “anyone who has the link”. Preferred video format is .mp4.
Last edition: the Competition is held online, in two categories: “Piano” and “Double Bass”. In category “Piano” contestants are divided into two age groups (14-17 and 18-40 years, respectively), in category “Double Bass” there is only one age group, 18-40 years. The age of contestant is determined on September 15, 2020. In all the categories the competition is held in one round.
The recording must not have transitions or other signs of montage, even between two pieces (except for category “Double Bass” between pieces with or without accompanist). It is not necessary for the recording to be of professional quality, but the jury members should be able to evaluate the contestant from it. The volume must not be either too quiet or too loud (with “overdrive” effect, crackling sound etc.).

Depending on the results achieved by the contestants and within the limits of the set number of prizes the jury is authorized:
– to withhold prizes;
– to have performers share prizes;
