The Inuaria flute quartet was created in the academic year 2022/23 and works under the mentorship of prof. dr. Karolina Šantl Zupan. The Quartet consists of students from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, flutists Katarina Kastelec, Lara Oblak, Nuša Dolinšek and Alja Boštjančič. In addition to flutes, the piccolo, alto and bass flute are often joined on stage. Flute Quartet actively performs at concerts which are parts of various events, music cycles, festivals and also organizes many solo concerts in Slovenia. In September 2023, Quartet performed at the 27th International Lace festival in Lepoglava, Croatia. In March 2024 they participated in the Temsig national competition, where they took absolute first place in the category of chamber groups with wind instruments and received a gold plaque and a special award for the best performance of a Slovenian composition. In April 2024, the Flute Quartet, in collaboration with the composer Simon Kravos, took part in the international student symposium under the auspices of the Ljubljana Festival. At the symposium entitled Musical interpretation: between artistic and scientific, they presented the birth of the composition Evocatio and the collaboration between composer and flutists during the creation of the composition. In september 2024 Quartet performed in the cyle of concerts called Autumn serenades organized by Glasbena Mladina Ljubljanska. The cycle took place in five various parts of Slovenia. The set of concerts entitled Prehajanje was, with selected poetry, connected by Kristian Koželj.
