Over the past ten years, the Aarhus International Piano Competition has become recognized as a prominent global competition for young pianists. It boasts exceptional facilities at the Musikhuset Aarhus, prestigious prizes and awards, advanced live streaming capabilities, clear regulations, and a panel of internationally respected judges. Its reputation has attracted exceptional pianists from around the world, making it a highly esteemed event in the music industry.
214 young pianists from all over the world have applied to take part in the 2023.’s edition The preselection jury chose 42 pianists based on anonymized audio recordings. On 3rd of March, the selected candidates arrived in beautiful Denmark. Each pianist showed their unique musical style and technical proficiency on the grand piano. The panel of judges, consisting of renowned pianists and music professors, had the difficult task of choosing a winner among so many exceptional performances.
