Veronika Jaklová (2003) started playing the piano at the age of five with teacher Kateřina Pirochová Valkovičová in Prague, Czech Republic. A year later she participated in her first piano competition Prague Junior Note. Since then she has participated in many prestigious international competitions – Virtuosi per musica di pianoforte, International competition Amadeus, Broumov key, International V. Novák’s piano competition and others.
She won the absolute winner prize in the National round of the ZUŠ competition of chamber ensembles in the Czech Republic. In 2018 and 2019 Veronika became the Laureate of the competition Young Piano of the Prague Conservatoire, she won the 2nd prize at International Smetana competition 2018, 1st prize at Beethoven’s Teplice competition in 2019 and 2nd prize at international competition Bach’s journey. In 2020 she became the winner of Yamaha foundation stipendium contest. Her recent accomplishment is 2nd prize at Internetional Vladimir Krainev competition in Kharkiv in 2021, where she got also the prize for the best performance of a Classic piece, the prize for the best performance of a piece by F. Chopin and she won the EMCY Prize.
Veronika debuted with orchestra „Young musicians“ at the age of 14 with Grieg piano concerto in a minor. She has participated in many masterclasses with professors: Ivan Klánský, Dmitri Bashkirov, Min Kwon, Einar Steen-Nokleberg, Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Martin Kasík, Ivo Kahánek, Zbyněk Maruška, Monika Tugendliebová and others. She regularly participates at International Summer Piano Courses of the Prague Conservatoire. In 2019 she participated at prestigious Alion Baltic International Music Courses in Riga, Latvia.
She currently studies at Prague Conservatoire with Milan Langer.
