Timofei was born on March 28, 2002 in Volzhsky, Russia. From 2007 to 2016 he studied piano at the music school in Volzhsky (teacher Olga Morozova). Since September 2016 he studied at the Secondary Special Music School of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory with the Professor Tatyana Zagorovskaya. He performed for the first time at 7 years old with the Volgograd Academic Symphony Orchestra. Then with the Volzhskiy Pop-Symphony Orchestra, the Volzhsky Orchestra of Folk Instruments, the orchestra of the State Philharmonic Society of St. Petersburg for children and youth and the St. Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra.
He was winner of: the 1st Prize at the VII International Competition “Saint – Petersburg reflected in World`s music culture” (St. Petersburg, 2016), the 1st Prize at the VII International Contest of Youth Performing Arts named after G. V. Sviridov (St. Petersburg, 2017), the 1st Prize at the All-Russian Competition “Young Talents of Russia – 2018”, the 1st Prize and EMCY prize at the XII International Competition of Young Pianists “A step towards mastery” (St. Petersburg, 2019)
He also took part in International cultural festivals such as: “Flowers of Russia” and “Children’s Petersburg” in Slovenia (Ljubljana and Maribor), but also in Germany (Munich), in Serbia (Belgrade) and in Spain (Madrid) in 2017 and 2018. He was also invited to play at concerts of the Gartow Stiftung in Germany (Weimar, Hamburg) and to a concert tour in Switzerland (Zurich, Bern, Opfikon, Solothurn and others) in 2018. He also took part in master classes within the educational programmes of the Sirius Education Center in Sochi in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Timofei was also able to benefit from scholarships from the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Society (2018), of the Vladimir Spivakov International Charitable Foundation (2018) and of the Temirkanov International foundation for cultural initiatives (2018).
