Results of Ettlingen International Competition for Young Pianists 2018

Between 4th and 12nd August, in Germany took place the Ettlingen International Competition for Young Pianists.

The town of Ettlingen is organizing every two years an international competition, which is open to young pianists of all nationalities, including stateless people.

There are no restrictions of any kind regarding the musical education of the competitors (e. g. university, college, academy, conservatoire, music school or private instruction). All stages of the competition are open to the public.

This year 340 young pianists, coming from 50 nations, applied for this competition. After the reselections by recordings only 99 pianists were admitted.

The EMCY prize winner of Ettlingen International Competition for Young Pianists is Oleksii Kanke (Ukraine).

Second Prize:  Jinyoung Kweon, Korea (Republic)

Third Prize: Curtis Phill Hsu, USA
