The 15th Anna Amalia competition for young guitarists, which had to be held online this year, came to a successful end with a virtual closing event. 34 young, highly talented musicians had sent in videos, which were put together for virtual evaluation auditions and can be seen on the YouTube channel of the competition.
The Prize winners 2021 divided by age groups are:
From the AG I
Sofia Zhernovykh (Ukraine) and Markel Intxaurbe Onaindia (Spain) won the 1st Prize.
Piotr Piętal (Poland), Mykhailo Rakov (Ukraine) Adam Slunečko (Czech Republic) and Luka Štriga (Croatia) won the 2nd Prize.
Rozarie Cerna (Czech Republic) and Maksymilian Śliwiński (Poland) received the 3rd Prize.
From the AG II
Vuk Vukajlović (Serbia) won the 1st Prize.
Olivera Ognjenović (Serbia) and Tobiáš Krpec (Czech Republic) received the 2nd Prize.
Uros Jacevic (Serbia) won the 3rd Prize
From the AG III
Lucija Štivčević (Croatia) and Filippos Manoloudis (Greece) won the 1st Prize.
Valentin Novak (Slovenia) and Inso Park (South Korea)received the 2nd Prize.
Filippos Manoloudis (Greece) received the EMCY Prize.
Special prize for the best interpretation of the mandatory pieces and Special prize for the best interpretation of the contemporary piece set went to Torrin Williams (Great Britain)
Special prize for the best interpretation of classical work and Special prize for the best interpretation of the contemporary set-piece went to Lucija Štivčević (Croatia).
