Results of the 85th Concurso Permanente de Jóvenes Intérpretes


From 19th to 22nd May took place the 85th Concurso Permanente de Jóvenes Intérpretes in Sabadell (Spain) for string and guitar.

Monsterrat Egea, EMCY Prize

Presided by Jordi Roch, president of Jeunesses Musicales of Spain, Paul Scholer, president of EMCY, Carlos Cruz de Castro, president of the Jury, Montserrat Chacon, Councillor for Culture of the City of Sabadell and Joana Soler, president of Joventudes Musicales de Sabadell, the closing ceremony took place on the 22th.

Out of the 24 participants, the jury awarded the prizes as follows:

  • Guitar:

First award exaequo: David Antigüedad and Miguel Marín

Second award: Bruno Pino

  • String:

First award: Montserrat Egea, cello

Second award: Maria Florea, violin

  • Solé Award: José Fraguas Amor, violin. (Donation of a violin bow)

EMCY President Paul Scholer awarding the EMCY Prize

The next Concurso Permanente de Jóvenes Intérpretes will take place from 17th-20th November for piano, accordion, organ, harpsichord, in Tui (Spain).
