Results of the 10th International Competition for Young Pianists ‘A Step Towards Mastery’

young pianistThe 10th International Competition for Young Pianists ‘A Step Towards Mastery’ took place from June 3 – 10, 2015. Over 50 young talents from 14 different countries presented themselves before an international jury consisting of experts from Europe, Asia, and North America.

The closing ceremony and concert were held in the Small Hall of the Saint Petersburg Academic Philharmonic and was attended by the following guests: Ada Glebovskaya, head of the Department of Culture of the Administration of Frunzensky district of St.Petersburg; Antonina Dorogova, head of the sector of cultural and leisure activities and education of the Committee of Culture of St.Petersburg; and Paul Scholer, EMCY President.

A first prize was only awarded in the category A for participants up to 11 years old. It was awarded to Zengyue Fan, from China.

The EMCY prize was awarded Mikhail Kambarov, from Russia.
