EMCY is hiring - Project Manager

EMCY is the European Union of Music Competitions for Youth: a network of music competitions covering nearly thirty countries. We promote the educational value of competitions and facilitate the sharing of our members’ educational, practical and musical knowledge and experience through meetings and workshops. EMCY membership is a quality label for a competition and members profit from a range of concerts, tours and master classes organised by EMCY all over Europe for their EMCY Prize winners. EMCY is a non-profit organisation, based and registered in Munich (Germany) and run by an international board and office. More information at www.emcy.org.

EMCY is recruiting a Project Manager (f/m) as replacement for the maternity leave of the Secretary General.

The project manager coordinates the overall work programme of the organisation. He/she reports directly to the Board and manages a small but busy team in Munich, Germany. In close cooperation with the Board, the Project Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the strategic and activity plans. The Project Manager must be a skilled networker and is required to represent the organisation at a variety of events. He/she is responsible for the public relations as well as advocacy activities of the organisation and coordinates the implementation of the network’s internal and external communication strategies. He/she leads the fundraising campaign, builds up and maintains the communication with sponsors. The successful candidate develops and maintains contacts with members and partners, and actively encourages the growth and development of the network.

We offer an inspiring international working environment and the opportunity to work creatively with a small but committed team.

The position will be initially limited to September 2018. It will be on a part time basis (50-75%). The contract should start on 13th November 2017 (or upon agreement).

Interested candidates who fulfil the above criteria are invited to submit a curriculum vitae, motivation letter and salary expectation in English by email to info(at)emcy.org. The application deadline is Friday 8th September 2017.
