V International Jascha Heifetz Competition for Violinists is taking place in Vilnius, Lithuania, from 13th to 19th of February in 2017. The competition named after Jascha Heifetz is one of the major music competitions in Lithuania, fostering the timeless musical legacy of the violin virtuoso. The international Jury including Gidon Kremer as chairperson will award 6 violinists: 3 laureates and 3 diplomats. The total prize fund is 20 000 Eur.

Laureates of the Competition will have a chance to perform with Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra in The Lithuanian National Philharmonic Hall (Aušros Vartų St 5, Vilnius) during the Final of the competition.

The Jascha Heifetz Competition for Violinists is organized by PI Natų Knygynas together with the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and is supported by Lithuanian Council for Culture.
